Multi-Talented Star in McHenry County

C.J Fiedorowicz

Tight End C.J Fiedorowicz, from Johnsburg, Illinois, has a plethora of colleges hoping he'll choose to play for their football teams, but Fiedorowicz is also a legitimate Division One baseball player as well as a tremendous basketball player. IllinoisHSPreps.com has an update on this versatile athlete.

Last summer 6'7" C.J. Fiedorowicz was one of the top ten baseball prospects in the state of Illinois, and one of the top 30 basketball players in the Class of 2010. Now this gentle giant is focusing on his college future, and that future will involve playing football.

How good of a gridiron prospect is Fiedorowicz?

"Every school in the Big Ten has offered me a scholarship but Penn State," Fiedorowicz said.

Other universities outside of the Big Ten have also taken notice, including schools from the Pac-10, ACC, SEC, and a prominent independent.

"If I had to pick my top five it would be Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio State, and maybe Illinois or Miami," Fiedorowicz stated. "I want to play for a school that really uses the tight end a lot. That's going to factor in my decision along with the coaching staff, players, and the campus."

Fiedorowicz definitely has felt the grind of the recruiting process.

"I get two to three calls a night; quite frankly I don't like it," Fiedorowicz acknowledged. "I plan to commit sometime in the spring, summer, or the fall at the very latest."

Next year in high school Fiedorowicz plans to play football, run track, and play basketball, but that will be it.

"I'm going to miss playing baseball," Fiedorowicz said. "I've been doing it since second grade, but it's time to just concentrate on football. Until I started to make it well known that I wanted to play football in college, I would receive interest in all three sports. I play AAU basketball but I don't know how much if any I will be able to do with that either because of all my football visits."

Fiedorowicz is a four-star recruit here at Scout.com. We plan to follow this recruitment and keep you updated as new information becomes available.
