Last night we caught up with Nick Mlady, who briefed IllinoisHSPreps.Com on his future plans and where he intends to continue his football career. Get inside for more details.

Nick Mlady, a 6'1” running back from Naperville North High School in Naperville, Illinois, will play football for Cornell University next fall. Mlady, part of the Class of 2009, cited the quality of an Ivy League education as a major factor in his decision.

“In the end Cornell was the right place for me,” Mlady said. “It's a good situation for me scholarship-wise. On my visit I really enjoyed the entire situation; my family had a good time too.”

Despite the distance between Cornell and metropolitan Chicago, Mlady is excited about starting a new adventure.

“Being far away from home will not bother me,” Mlady stated. “I'm going to go out there sometime in July to get a better feel for the campus and meet all the guys I'll be playing with.”

Here at Scout.Com Mlady is ranked as the nation’s 173rd best RB in his class.
